I don't know where to put this, so I'm putting it here. Most ballet fans will know about it anyway. Tonight, BBC 2, 9.30, there is a programme about Nureyev, concentrating, I believe, on new material found by his latest biographer Julie Kavanagh about his Russian years. The programme is written and produced by John Bridcut, who did the excellent Britten's Children.

I'm reading Julie Kavanagh's book at the moment. It's  big book, densely detailed - I'm up to page 197 of over 700.

To be followed by film performance of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet with Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn on BBC4 if you can take the late night !

I saw them dance it - I don't need a film! (But I've got it anyway.)
