Just a quick heads-up that on 10th November  Building a Library will be overviewing available recordings of Monteverdi's L'ORFEO, including two different new releases of the work which few of us will have yet heard.

Hopefully some decently-large chunk of the recommended recording will also be broadcast,  but I haven't found any reference to this so far?

So have your pens and pencils ready to jot the details of your preferred choice, as Santa's elves are already hard at work...

Cheers for the link, Reiner. Smiley  I usually manage to miss these things.

I've already ordered the new Alessandrini recording, but will be interested to find out about the recent one from La Venexiana as well. Any views on these recordings from members?
