I must admit, I do find the extent to which Peter Hofmann has been so comprehensively forgotten rather shocking.

Didn't he retire from opera to take the lead in ALW's 'Phantom' in Germany? And I understand he's now retired from everything, as he's suffering from Parkinson's disease.

I never cared for his voice, but he seemed a pleasant enough sort.  Sad
