Frankly the 2009 date seems "extremely unlikely" to me,  but Russia has a history of cracking the whip to make things happen on time if they really wish.  The danger will be that it will be bodged and short-cut in order to meet the deadline.

Meantime the Bolshoi are peforming in their "New Stage" auditorium,  which is large enough for all but the most massive-scale productions in the current repertoire.
