As a dog, I welcome this development-although some form of house training (as with the Italian parliament) would I concede enhance its prospects. Yet another career option for Margaret Hodge.

This is obviously the kind of inclusivity La Hoxha is hoping for at the Proms.  How wretchedly elitist to have kept domestic pets and barnyard animals out of the RAH up to now, eh? Wink

I know at least one dog who would be tempted to join in, especially in tenor arias....

I think they would virtually all join in with choruses,as dogs are supposed to think a lot of people singing together constitutes a "group howl" (and sometimes it actually does of course, not thinking of the Glyndebourne St Matthew Passion or anything).

I approve of this measure to some extent.  I like how google allow employees to bring well-behaved pets to work with them: I imagine that would create a pretty cool work environment.
