I don't know much Bruch's music. For some reason it was not so often played when I was a student.
I know one of his violin concertos (the famous one).
Recently I came accross his chamber music (octed and quintet I think). I am waiting for a friend to finish listening to it and then I will have a chance to listen.
According to my friend it is very good music.
My friend also tells me that Bruck resented that people only knew his violin concerto.
Are there people here who love Bruch's music and know about him?

I don't know about him, but  I love his violin concertos, I think the famous one is a perfect piece of music, which is exactly why it is so famous - which reminds me I'm about to start a new thread called "Naf? no, Nice".
I also am very fond of "Kol Nidrei" (?spelling) which I find very moving.
Come on, one of you clever ones, give us some Bruch information...please.

I don't believe people here don't know Bruch's octets. I am going to be the only one who knows them. I am waiting for a friend to give me CD with a few of Bruch's chamber music pieces.
