Yes, I know, Easy CD Creator was long ago changed to Roxio but I`ve somehow never quite managed to get to grips with more recent versions.  So I`m still running ECD4 on a rather ancient PC which I think is a 486 processor with a tiny 6.4Gig hard disc.  One day this PC is going to die a terminal death.  I also have a newer PC running Windows XP with a nice fast processor and a 260 Gig hard disc or thereabouts.  Could someone please recommend a nice simple-to-use program with words-of-one-syllable guidance?  I want to transfer audio from external sources eg tape and md and burn as .wav files onto cd-r.  I have a bundled version of Nero which works for copying CDs but doesn`t seem to have a "record from external sources" function.

epoc,

Does your bundled Nero include the Audio Editor? If it does, then the Record from External Sources should be hidden in that. The later ECDC s have a very simple recorder, but I'm probably not the best person to advise on this as I tend to use slightly more abstruse software, and there'll be someone along soon who'll be able to advise you on what you can download for free.

Perhaps Burkiss has a seminar?....

Cheesy I knew I'd heard that name before somewhere.
