How about including some direct links to R3 listen live in stand-alone players (without having to go through the bbc at all) in the Useful Links bit on the home page?

to play R3 live in Windows Media Player: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/wm_asx/aod/radio3.asx
(once it's loaded you can then get rid of the new window)

for Real Player: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/ram/r3g2.ram

I just got the WMP link to work, and saving in Favourites works too  Smiley

You do have to turn the volume up, why is Radio 3 so quiet??

Enlighten me if you would as to how, John!

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").

Well, this the the working link that is saved in my favourites:

and it works  Undecided

so maybe your http prefix is missing??

Hmm. This is odd. It doesn't work when I go through the Beeb Radio Player, either.  Huh

I use WinAmp, and the WMA link works fine with that on this laptop.
