I personally don't feel any great purpose is served by specifying the relative positions of the other candidates who nobly put themselves forward.
Me neither, but I can accept that others feel differently.

It's probably a good idea to get the polls over first, as Michael says.

And Michael, I don't see why anyone had the right to feel abandoned or neglected last night. I certainly didn't. I think there was some slight lack of clarity over procedure for this second poll, but it seems to me quite acceptable not to post the result till the following morning if you have other things to attend to (as I'm sure we all do, from time to time).

Hear hear, tinners.  I didn`t feel abandoned or neglected last night. Anyway, as is often pointed out, this is a message board. And there  is life outside it. Isn`t there? Grin

Sorry to hear about your family problems, Michael. Hope all is happily sorted now.

And further congratulations from me!

And from the Seattle Choral Company for good measure.

Which appears to include a large number of twins, quite extraordinary.

And the twins aren't standing next to each other, unusual for twins who normally like to confuse mono-folk like me.

Mono-folk? What is the word for a non-twin?

Sorry for waffle on the results thread. I shall complain about myself later  Tongue

I rather like the siamese twins .. man and woman , they look very happy so I guess they won't be separating then ! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Congratulations to Ollie and Ron! However, both of you seem to have lost not only four of your stars, but also your gender indications - so comiserations are also in order, I feel.  Wink

It may be some relief to you, Stuart, to know I have never to my knowledge possessed a gender indication.

On the board, I mean. Smiley

Have just returned to find out the news, actually by PM as the site's server wasn't responding for some reason. Many thanks to all of you who have sent best wishes, and I hope I'll be able to to do my bit in helping to keep the board running as smoothly and courteously as possible. I'm looking forward to working with Ollie and whoever our colleague will be - I hope that everybody will be carrying their nominations forward to the next round.

I'm sorry to hear that things are not so good at the moment, Michael: I hope that things may take a turn for the better as soon as possible.

Stuart, worry not: I too have never felt any need to indicate my gender, so I've not been robbed of my identification. Good democratic thespian that I am, I'm not in favour of the star system, so that's no big loss either.... <refrains from using smiley emoticon>

Just got in. Good to see you join Ollie, Ron, even if I didn't vote for you myself, though that conditional leaves open an alternative possibility of course. Wink

Now that Ron D has been elected to such a position of authority, I expect some of us might wish to refer to him as Father Ron, I'm sure Ollie would  Wink
