I seem to remember that Ruth has been posting about the Proms in the other place. Looking forward to your comments here as well, Ruth: welcome.

Hello Ruth and welcome to these boards! Martle, would that be irritable vowel syndrome perchance?

A most warm welcome, Ruth.
Almost a year ago, when I made my baptism of fire on the Proms Board, you were one of the first respondents - we discussed the Revised Last Night, 2001.

Oooh, I'm honoured Thanks for the warm welcome everybody I can't believe I didn't know this board existed until a couple of days ago. Nice to see that this board (unlike the BBC one) seems to cover musical topics beyond just Radio 3. That means I'll probably be on here all year round, rather than just during the Proms! (I'll let you in to a little secret - I don't actually spend that much time listening to R3. I never have time, thanks to being at live performances all the time ) It's nice to be here, anyway!

One thing that seems to be to a great extent 'un-discussed' on here is Radio 3 (save for the Proms).

Ian - so no interminable discussions about broadcast quality on "Listen Again" then? Just a good natter about music and stuff?
