I accept the tone of the comments in question from the "Boring correspondent" were not as civil as I would expect from this forum but , neverthless, the right to the opinion should be accepted.
I absolutely agree, but if you look at the posts of that member (you can see them all at http://r3ok.myforum365.com/index.php?action=profile;u=396;sa=showPosts), only the most recent one is an opinion at all. Apart from that, number 3 ('But they're both musicians') is a relevant contribution to the discussion. The rest are just personally abusive. I suppose you could also take the line of Voltaire in order to defend someone's right to be abusive, but it's hardly on the same level as the right to express an opinion, is it?

Ad hominem attacks are contrary to the rules of quite a few such boards, I think. Best, Alistair

Er, perhaps now that Mr/Ms Boring seems to have slipped away again we might aim to re-establish a certain civility? Unless there's something that urgently needs raking over of course...

Er, has there really been any lapse of it (on the part of the rest of us, that is) as a consequence of the presence of that person here , would you say? Best, Alistair

Today mods received the most complaints ever about a new poster, Why are You ...., not unexpected considering the first messages were attacks and not the usual 'Hi Folks....'
I had hoped, and waited, for some sort of apology from Why Are You .... or indeed from Terry Stewart - I can reveal that both posted from the same computer IP address. The multiple login was suspected by at least one of our members.
I really have no option but to remove both registrations and ban the IP address.

What a pity.
Thank you, moderators, for keeping the boards "hygienic".

Many thanks, John.
I must say that while Mr/Ms Boring was on the loose yesterday I was completely confident that they'd be given the flick post haste. Which is of course praise to our moderators.

I've been kept pretty busy over the last couple of days, so was only dropping in occasionally: by the time I was aware what was going on it was all but over. Thanks indeed for your swift action here: experience of the other place suggests that once one troll has infiltrated successfully, several more follow in quick succession.
