But obviously we can't be too boring for someone to set up an identity to talk to us... unless of course that person has no life. Clearly a possibility to be considered.

I thin No welcome from me. I'm sure your stay here will be a short one! I intend it to be so Do you have any other intentions? Or any, say, charming reason for your extremely odd choice of username? (if only in its (necessary) lack of a question mark) Peace be with you, and, insofar as you are still arriving, warmest welcomes. Having checked out your other posts, I can understand why other people might be a bit skeptical of your intentions. Have you considered talking about music here? I would warmly recommend it. One should consider all possibilities that one comes across, insofar as that be reasonably possible. However, one aught not entertain them (at least when they are of a certain nature) without reason.

Terry, you seem to know a great deal about our new friend, and to share all his opinions.
I wonder if you have something to tell us?

I cannot work out the link you appear to have made Reiner the only thing we appear to have in common is his/her concern regarding comments about Michael Ball . I find many of the comments and opinions quite interesting and, in some cases, revealing.

OK, Terry, fair play to you and apologies for the inference.
Our new friend does seem to know rather more than most newcomers about this board and its users - he sounds very much like one of the sock puppets who crawled out of the woodwork when TOP was holed below the waterline.

But that's the funny thing, Terry. As far as I can see, Mr (or Mrs) Boring's posts had very little to say about Michael Ball, although the abusive tone he/she adopted towards those who don't like Michael Ball did suggest that he was coming from the same point of view as you: maybe your less polite alter-ego? I find many of the comments and opinions interesting and revealing too, but I've been around here for long enough to express my disagreements with other board members without giving them the feeling that I've invaded their community (I hope). When you arrived you had strong objections to what was being said about Michael Ball but you voiced them reasonably and were welcomed accordingly. I find it odd that you're willing to remark on the concerns you share with Mr(s) Boring and that you don't have anything to say about the rude manner in which (s)he expressed those concerns.

Maybe I am willing to accept that the views expressed by others are not in the style that I would have adopted but I will take the line of Voltaire in their right to express their view. I accept the tone of the comments in question from the "Boring correspondent" were not as civil as I would expect from this forum but , neverthless, the right to the opinion should be accepted.
