Are you really that old, dc?

No wonder you've never met an academic in a nightclub. It's obviously a while since you went to one yourself. Wink

The type of academic to avoid at all costs, if encountered in a nightclub, is one who is trying to do some anthropological study of those who frequent such establishments.....

Oops. Not sure how I can get out of that one. Aren't I always already anthropologising?

(On the other hand, I'm not an academic by any standard definition, despite what I'll take as dc's compliment. Wink)

oh dear is 36 'old' ? I'd better start lying about age. as for nightclubs, I've been to about 4 or 5 in total (I think), all of them were different, but all were expensive.

...as for academics at alternative venues...hang on t-i-n... you didn't happen to be at  Napalm Death  2 years ago in Berlin,  -I remember a conspicuously ignored & youngish academic standing around... Wink
