My pleasure, Nick.     I'm anticipating a whinge or two about the spread of the cycle over two weeks but the last broadcast 'outing' for the whole cycle in a single day; the Barenboim/Bayreuth set, resulted in low ratings, apparently.  However, I recall getting this 11CD recording at a bargain price near the time of the broadcast, together with a promotional DVD, and it is probable that many Wagnerians also jumped on the same bandwagon.

Rather off-thread - there's a novelty! - but I assume that you are aware of ' the potted Ring', HMV's abridged recording of The Ring of 1927-32 on 7CDs on the Pearl label?     A treasure trove full of splendour.
