I am Ian, 58, living in Northumberland, a regular on the R2 boards and a slightly less frequent visitor to the R3 ones.

Hope to debate plenty on here.  My current pet corn is the discontinuation of Brian Kay's programme and the failure to replace it with anything similar on either 2 or 3!

Ian.

Welcome Ian. Hope you like the loo of the new R3boards!

The latest I've heard about Brian was that he had e-mailed a colleague (at Evergreen Records) saying he was currently in New Zealand and has had no indication that his services were still needed at the BBC, so we won't even hear him on R2's FNIMN.

Very sad to hear of Sheridan Morley's death, I had hoped he'd be back at R2 with something.

Hello, Ian! Welcome to this board. Have a nice time! Smiley

The latest I've heard about Brian was that he had e-mailed a colleague (at Evergreen Records) saying he was currently in New Zealand and has had no indication that his services were still needed at the BBC, so we won't even hear him on R2's FNIMN.
This is very sad news to me. Cry

I miss Brian Kay enormously on Radio 3. Thursdays are the days when I often have the chance to spend more time in my kitchen. Light music is so nice to listen to when you're preparing a meal. Cool
