Idiot in distress!!!

I suppose some progress is better than none at all. I've got a photo onto Photobucket and converted it to avatar size. Next problem is getting it onto my profile. I've added details on the "I have my own pic" section, and ticked that box, but nothing seems to happen.

Any suggestions?

Using my Mod's admin password, I discovered the problem : you'd entered some of the link twice: erased the excess - sorted.

Ron

Many thanks to Ron and Antheil!  The way it suddenly appeared, after my various unsuccessful attempts, made me feel rather suspicious. Divine intervention, perhaps, or something like that moment in a driving lesson when the instructor miraculously took over the pedal controls.
Now I know what to do when I want to change it; or at least, I think I do!

Many thanks, again. I think it looks quite good!

It is truly a St. Paul's on the road to Damascus experience to have one's avatar suddenly revealed to all!!

Now we just need to sort out the latest green incarnation. Am I the only one ( to use a favourite TOP phrase ) who can not currently see martle's avatar ?

Me too. It looks more like a green pepper than a green incarnation.

Good news that the green tradition lives on. Will delete some cookies etc so that I can see this month's version.

A little late, but nevertheless, a warm welcome to Descombes. And thank you for filling in another gap in my musical knowledge (the origin of your 'nick').

I like to keep y'all a-guessing.

Yes, hello to Descombes as well!

Good news that the green tradition lives on. Will delete some cookies etc so that I can see this month's version.

Would this be why my avatar didn't change when i tried to put a different shell picture on it, I wonder?

Deleting cookies ( not as much fun as eating them ) certainly restored martle's avatar to view on my system. But not sure if it would apply to changing one's own.
