Well, after months of arm-twisting, persuasion and bullying (alright then, a couple of "Aw, you should join the R3OK board" requests), here I am. I think most of you know a bit about me anyway, so, well, eccomi a voi.

Off now to investigate avatar thingies, signatures and other such message board fun features.

Welcome LDHS! (May I abbreviate your ladyship in such a manner?)

I'm sure Ruth's recommendation will turn out to be good!

Welcome to the more pleasant music discussion-board, Lady DHS!  You'll be astounded at the range of civilised facilities (text-formatting, including pictures in posts) available here...  makes the Flintstone-featured board at TOP look decidedly clunky by comparison!   Nor are you sent to bed at midnight with no supper - this board's open 24-hours a day Smiley

Cheers!

Welcome LDHS. As I only ever visit TOP when someone here refers to a post there, I'm afraid I know nothing about you, though I've seen your name. Do enlighten me! Here might be a good place.

Lady Dover Hyphen Sole

Welcome and a thousand welcomes!

Friendly souls among us (well, even more friendly than the rest of us, if possible) often start Welcome threads for newbies, but it is so good for someone to start their own welcome thread.

How was Paris?

Do give us your thoughts on what we ought to have as icon on the home page for the Opera House Board:

Thank you for the warm welcomes  Smiley

Reiner: I'm just exploring some of the groovy features, so expect profile amendments in the next few days.

Martle: Huzzah for no flood control!

Andy D: By the time you read this, some background information will be available (or, at the very least, under preparation).

Don Basilio: Thanks for the picture - just what the doctor ordered! It (or one similar) gets my vote for the opera board pic. And you mean Ruth hasn't told you about Paris? Champagne, shopping, chateau and Dmitri in doublet and hose just about sums it up.

For the record, the look on her face when the curtain went down on the auto-da-fe scene was a PICTURE.
