I am Steve. I live in Liverpool UK.main musical interests:

Romantic period music, especially piano(concerti, in particular). Favourite composers(at present!): Paderewski, Garofalo, Moszkowski, Rubinstein(Anton)

Collecting classical vinyl, especially unusual composers and labels

Favourite pianist(by far): Michael Ponti

Also interested in reminiscing about R3 announcers of the mid to late 1970s: Crowe, Hughes et al

Yes, indeed: welcome, steve. So did you come to know Michael Ponti through Vox, or perhaps even Turnabout?

The seventies were a great decade for R3 announcers: all possessing self-effacing gravitas, but not without their foibles.
