I too am glad it's been made clear that this has nothing to do with the moderation team. I thought otherwise as well.

John, there's no shame in saying you're leaving and then returning rather soon thereafter as if nothing has happened. I am a real-life example of that. So here's to hoping you change your mind.

OK, one more message.

Just to say thanks to all the kind messages and pm's from members, and also to confirm something I should have said in the previous message, that I fully support the moderation team of Mort, Ron and Ollie. They've done a fine job keeping the forum steady and I appreciate now what a good step it was to install such a team rather than just have little ol' me.

The issue of me leaving is just a personal fall-out with 'Michael' and nothing to do with the mod team or any exchanges I may have had with mods or members here.

Today I will try and record the Stockhausen proms from iPlayer, see if I can make any sense of it all! Smiley

Best regards,

John Wright

Exactly. "The Flounce" followed by the "Prodigal Son's Return" is a long and honourable forum tradition - like Scott of the Antarctic on a loop. In the short time I've been here I've enjoyed your posts and relaxed demeanor. I know nothing about the internal politics of this site - long may that joyful state continue - and hope you'll return toot sweet.

And perhaps it might be said that there's nothing wrong with contributing to the debate from the back benches after a stint in the Cabinet, as it were, and often the discussion is all the more enriched for that. Just a thought.

Falling out is a natural process. This forum is a learning experience for all of us. One doesn't have to leave for ever even with falling out.
We all are not sensitive at times. Fortunately there are many people here who can be intermediaries and things straighten out after time. I was sorry to hear that Turfan Fragment wanted to leave the board. I am glad he decided to stay. We have a good mix of people here and that helps all to learn, to grow, to get over difficult periods, share our personal victories.

I know how painful it is to fall out with people. It is difficult to fail in whatever way.
I don't know the nature of a conflict, but I am grateful to John and Michael for giving us a such a useful site.
And I do hope John will not leave for long.

Gosh, John, I've only just caught up on this.  It would be nice if you stayed around, even if not adminning.  Go on.

(Stockhausen.  Good luck.)
