And a warm welcome to Hornspieler, a refugee from the main R3 board (often referred to here, HS, as TOP = The Other Place). I'm sure you'll find the atmosphere here more considerate to fellow members and a friendly place to post.  Smiley

A welcome from Ron, too, to the latest in a wee flurry of new members.

When you're ready, Hornspieler (I wonder what that will be abbreviated to?), you can add a little about yourself to this thread (clicking on the blue will take you there), which will also give you a brief insight into what makes many of our community 'tick'.

Hope you find that Ruth gave good advice.

Very good to have you here, Hornspieler. I've enjoyed your contributions on the official BBC board, but it's much nicer here. Unless I'm getting mixed up, you are the horn player who was actually taught by Aubrey Brain? It's always good to hear from somebody with your experience.

There's a chess player on 'Stan's Net Chess' who calls himself hornplayer. Are you one and the same?

Hmm. I doubt it. More than one hornplayer on the planet, I suspect.

Welcome!
