Gosh, the Arrivals Room has been busy today! Welcome, List_Hall. Your name is familiar. Have you travelled from the BBC R3 board?

Welcome, List_Hall! Isn't that where the Met Opera Quiz is held? You'll find our own modest efforts here.  Smiley

Many thanks for the warm welcome, I feel at home already.

Yes, also on the otherside, but looking forward to taking part, especially when the Opera season begins again.

And a welcome from me, also, LH.  By "the opera season" you mean...?  Opera is practiced other than at the Met, I understand.  (I had a wonderful experience at the National Opera of Romania last November.)

As far as I'm aware, Don B, the "opera season" is roughly the same over here as over there - September to June/July.  Even with the summer festivals and so forth, you can't pretend there's been as much discussion of live opera performance on this forum in the past month (while there's no opera on offer from the principal London houses or higher-profile British touring companies) as there is during the rest of the year.

By Opera Season, I mean the wealth of live broadcasts from the great opera houses around the world on the radio and internet radio stations, with most new seasons starting in September. Thank you for the welcome to the board.
