Sure they are actually different, are not they? I thought it was rallentando and ritardando that were almost identical. But I'm just an idiot composer who only uses rall in the course of my day-to-day dottings. Besides the new member here is rallentendo. Which is presumably a gradually slowing down Nintendo. Which would be useful. Maybe I'd finally be able to make it to the end of World 8 of Super Mario Bros 3 (my failure to accomplish this feat being one the few signal failures of my formative years, and probably the root of any chronically low self-esteem that ensued).
