... morning and evening and late into the night. Then they brought in the chat and the trails and the presenters with personality, and now I spend my evenings creeping around the MBs searching for the like-minded.

And how do I get a smiley to sit here at the bottom of my message?

Welcome, crimewriter!

You've chosen to put your first posting up rather late and I'm going to have to go to bed soon. I've got a cold and I don't want you to catch it. As for smileys, when you write, there's a row of them just above the box. Just click on one.  Shocked  Cool  Huh  Roll Eyes  Tongue  Embarrassed  etc. For more interesting ones, explore the paint bucket.

All sorts of predictable ideas for the 'Who Killed Roger Wright?' story are coming to mind here, but I'll hold off those for now, until they surface somewhere else, no doubt..... Wink

Hello crimewriter, and welcome,

Did you get up early enough to ctach Rob Cowan's Breakfast? I enjoy Rob's show despite his extended chat, because I'm doing something else it doesn't matter. The music this morning has been excellent, for me anyway.

Now you've got the smiley working I expect you'll want an avatar and then attaching photos of the much missed Penny Gore ... Kiss

Please take time to read several informative threads in the Announcement and Welcome sections to guide you, and you might learn better, maybe, from other folks' explanations than my Mod-speak tones.

I am at your service in times of difficulty.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ian Pace, but the murder of Roger Wright will have to wait, literarily speaking, until I've dealt with the long line of requests to bump off the loved ones belonging to friends of mine. Grin

And yes, I did listen to Rob Cowan this morning. Much less idle chat than usual, I thought, and no emails. But then he played something that slid irretrievably out of tune (sorry, can't remember what) and I ran screaming to the Off button. Got some work done after that. Roll Eyes

Thanks to all of you for your welcoming messages. Now I shall search out the new posts. Cool
