Jonathan,
A very big Welcome is indeed the order of the day. I'm sure you're already aware that CDM is already sorely missed: on the one hand I have my weekday mornings back, but on the other, the cost is rather high (though my expediture on CDs might calm down somewhat now...)

What a pleasure to see Jonathan Swain posting here. Along with Rob Cowan, Jonathan has shown (in the other place) how to have intelligent interactivity between presenters and listeners (i.e. on messageboards) without any need for intrusive postbag readings, emails, etc., interfering with the flow of his excellent programme presentation.

All hail - and many thanks for the welcome. Swain a bit slow off the mark in registering here - should have done so as soon as the CDM board went AWOL ‘over there’!  I shall miss CDM too: part of the pleasure of the programme was its associated MB, and all the feedback and suggestions. The programme is in the past now … sigh … but not the communal exchange of ideas and experience - even though I am not currently in a position to do anything about airing requests . Still - very much look forward to dropping in hereabouts… Bws, J.

 # 4           After a "Maiden Speech" in Parliament, it is the norm for the respondent to welcome the new Member and add that the House looks forward to hearing from the speaker again.

In you case, Jonathan, it will also be a real pleasure, too.

Hello Jonathan,

Thanks for joining us.  Very much like the old R3 boards here now, except there's pictures and sound clips and useful things liike that.  (Thakfuly teh smileys have calmed down a lot.....)

Oh, and there are still some decent discussions about music, even if there is a large coffee bar element.

Have fun

Jonathan hi

You won't be alone here - your former colleague Mark Russell also posts, to keep us up to date with the regular broadcasts of Mixing It - sorry - Where's The Skill In That on resonancefm - a programme which Roger himself no less has enthused about in its new setting.

Perhaps you can find a station to run CD Masters. Roger seems quite keen on outsourcing R3 programmes, R3 messageboards etc....

Shame he hasn't yet outsourced the Controllership q;o)

Morticia and Gabrielle - mistresses of the macabre, if I may (your photo G - G for Giger?) …Greetings one and all from he who sounds as if he’s apparently peeling grapes on air (the other place) ….CDM outsourced? Now there’s an idea…Licences for subscription on-line radio may be available very soon… hmmmmm…. Mysteriously yours, J.

I'm late to welcome you aboard...! Been too busy gadding about and working to realise you had come over here. It's great to have you. I'm missing CDM like mad.
