For those of you who don't already know it, can I recommend Lennart Wretlind's Klingan programme on SR P2. It provides a nice contrast to our Andy's programme, with a fair bit of common ground inevitably.

It's on at 11am on Sunday (10am in the UK) but you don't need to get up early since their listen again facility is excellent, far better than the BBC's: 96 Kbps, programmes available for 4 weeks and you can jump to any point in the programme.

This week's programme included 2 early Captain Beefheart tracks: Abba Zaba and Electricity, from the album Safe As Milk. This made me feel a bit nostalgic as I heard them play these live in Southampton - they were on at about 2am and there were possibly 10 of us listening to them!

Hi Andy!

I dig that early Beefheart. Not for nothing was he Peel's joint favourite of all time along with Mark E. Smith of The Fall.

And Klingan is a good listen. I like the champagne cork that goes with track of the week.

All the best!

and you can jump to any point in the programme.

Iirc you can do so on the BBC player as well - but only if you open the track in the standalone real player - right click on the green bar at the top and choose the obvious option. I can't be certain this works in every browser of course :-)

Thanks for the link - looks interesting.
