I felt there was something very special about today's Lucy Duran show.
It was like a kiss and a hug saying farewell.

The centrepiece was surely one of the greatest sessions ever recorded
for Andy's show; the one by Taj Mahal and Toumani Diabate from 1999.
My one small regret was that we didn't hear Andy's voice.

Apart from that everything comes recommended.

I particularly liked the Yasmin Levy whose album Lucy had co-produced.

For the next two weeks we will be in the company of Charlie Gillett
for the full one hour and three quarters each time.

Do you reckon we'll ever hear Andy back on Radio 3 whs? I hope so but I fear we won't.  Sad If his fears about their shuffling him off to the graveyard slot on Monday evenings were correct then this will be the perfect opportunity for them to boot him out altogether. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

But Lucy D doesn't make the decisions does she?

You're right Andy she doesn't. But it is my gut instinct that Radio 3 will stand by AK. The fact that they are saying that this crisis is 'a personal matter' is I think hopeful. Paul Sherratt has expressed the opinion that AK feels that his late night slot goes with the territory and is not overly concerned about it. I imagine that Lucy's opinion is shared by many at Radio 3.

That's all I can say Andy my friend. Let's keep optimistic and hope for the best.
