A bit late to comment but while it's still available on "listen again" I'd like to recommend last Wednesday's English themed Late Junction, Ms Sharp on home ground. Chris Wood's River Medway soundscape was the centre piece but the whole programme is very well put together. Those who are folk-phobic steer well clear.

I'm pretty folk-phobic, but a river soundscape sounds just up my stream, if it's the sort of thing I'm imagining. Will have a look at that.

Even for the 'folk-phobic', can I heartily recommend anything by Chris Wood with or without the English Acoustic Collective (of whom he is a third). This is very classy stuff, and intelligent and socially aware music. I've worked with them, and they repay alert listening, promise.

Blast. I forgot to Listen Again and I think I'm on the verge of being too late now. Undecided

I actually wasn't dropping a hint, believe it or not, do-do-ron-ron Wink, but ... well ...

(I might just catch it if I ran over to iPlayer now, but I'm trying to take advantage of the late-night peach and quiet to make some headway on this Ligeti essay. Finally getting somewhere! Smiley)

Was that in the bread of night, then, tisnow?

(And yes, it's a freshly baked rye loaf courtesy of our machine and the LIDL packets.)
