Because it's AK tonight at some hour or other.

On tonight's programme AK has The Stairwell Sisters as session guests. These 'old timey' types seem to crop with increasing regularity nowadays in the US. I don't know if the Bush administration is the cause ..

Anyway lots of generous sound clips to examine on their site :

Most of the old timeys seem to be Canadian though, haven't kept up enough with Canadian politics to know if they might have induced a Bush style response.

Not me mate! I'm going to be safely tucked up in bed and hopefully asleep. All whs reviews will be courtesy of the wonderful BBC's Listen Again facility. Doesn't the new Radio 3 board look bare and uninteresting.

Good article on Radio 3 in  todays (20/2/07) Guardian by Geoffrey Wheatcroft.
