He really is in a bad way. No chance we'll be seeing him back on Radio 3.

The poor man.  It is just impossible for him to accept that the relationship is over.  I read an article in a magazine the other week that he'd found someone else and started life afresh - but it doesn't look like it.
How hard must it be to accept? I hate to hear about people in so much pain.

It's a sad case, and one with which I can sympathise.  I don't know if the kids are his too, or hers from a previous relationship - but if he'd tried to bond with them as a family, the loss would be just as great Sad

I don't mean this in a cheesy way-but I can see him resurfacing somewhere nobody knows him as a blues singer, and a good one. A long way from the Crouch End effect , and the false sense of personal security into which the media fashionistas evidently lulled him.

Hi Andy D long time no speak. Andy K seems to have gone off the radar screen. He's moving around the country, sometimes sleeping rough, sometimes crashing out on a friend's floor, but always on the move. And now he's a wanted man again. He must be going through something akin to grief. He should be sectioned under the mental health act and not sent to prison.

WHS, in my day job experience it is extremely difficult to get someone pre-emptively sectioned these days. He will have to work this through with whatever assistance he can find on the road. Areligiously I have found that my wayfaring clients ( a la Winterreise, Das KW et al) have had great support from monks and funky nuns (viz: aware of vicissitudes and matters earthily soulful while within their vocation). His may yet be a heroic walk back to whatever. He is after all a man, not a dilettante, and thus fitted out for whatever he is driven to work through.
