The recording played on the radio is presumably a reissue of the Deutsche Grammophon record with truncated versions of paragraphs 2 and 7, right? BTW what is this thread doing in "World Music"? (There's already a Cardew thread here.)

Indeed, richard, and I am happy to report that its truncated nature was mentioned by Max Reinhardt in his introduction.

Haven't heard the DGG version for years, but my recollection is that the rather crazy recording gave a fairly misleading view of both Paragraphs 2 + 7 - compared with what they usually sound like (far more impressive).
