A lovely show this week.

Steve Tilston in session was on top form. What a fine singer and guitarist he is. Wonderful songs. I'm going to buy the box set that's due out in May. My favourites from him were 'Here's to Tom Paine' and 'Rambling Comber'.

However my track of the night was by the Golden Gate Quartet with 'Stalin wasn't Stallin''. A wonderfully thought out song. Brilliant words and close harmonies.

Maybe equal to that one was 'Till I Gain Control Again' by Willie Nelson. Top marks. We've got my mum interested in Willie Nelson and that's saying something.

Other highlights were too numerous to mention.

No featured guest next week and don't forget the 11.30 start.

In two weeks time spotlight artist will be Julie Fowlis.

Until then,
Yours sincerely,
whs

Always good to hear Elmore James. Nice June Tabor track. Tartit's latest better production than Tinariwen. Loved the vintage anti-fascist / smoking stuff. Can live without Joi and the dub reggae. I'll give it B minus !

I'd say A minus.
