Well it turned out that my misgivings about Reem Kelani last week were spurious.

It was a lovely session by a most charming, intelligent and sensuous woman. A trained marine biologist she was the epitome of good taste and also highly articulate so I guess not surprising that like Andy she's a very fine broadcaster. She did a programme called 'Distant Chords' - about the music of migrant and exiled communities in Britain - for Radio 4 a few years ago. Both her and Andy agreed that it was right to be pro justice not pro Palestinian or pro Israeli.

Otherwise another very fine programme with lots of beauty.

Sincerely,
whs

Nice to hear the old bluesman Robert Belfour get an outing. The playlist says he will be doing a session for the programme in May but Mr Kershaw's introduction didn't mention it and in fact implied that he had never heard of the guy.
