I have parcket floor and cherry wood downstairs. I found it is good to use vacuum. If there is dirt I use damp cloth.
I have carpet downstairs in one room. That is good to vacuum too.

Tongue they're nothing but trouble, i tellya...... Lips sealed

and as for joining them, the idea of clubbing (yeuch) in Croydon, the habitation of the chav (if i may use such a phrase) if ever there was one, does not appeal to me one bit.

Why don't you read them some text from Adorno on mass culture when they get in? I'm sure they'll deeply appreciate it  Grin

Personally, at least as far as one gender is concerned, those so-called 'chavs' that are out on the town in Croydon on a Friday night are more than a little enticing! (I'm a bit old for clubbing, though, at least those types of clubs)

And before you all start chipping in, 'Croydon girl' does not always spend her evenings up against a wall with her knickers down, trying hard to hold onto her bag of chips at the same time! Much more stylish than 'Hampstead girl' or 'Finchley girl', I would say.....

Actually no, we've never met yet.

I would like to make a proposal for some time in the not-too-distant future - would like to invite a load of you posters from here over to East Croydon, go and have blissful drinks in my very nice local, The Glamorgan, then go to the Indian Restaurant round the corner from me, The Banana Leaf, which my (Indian-born) lodger reckons is one of only five or six decent Indian places in the whole of London!

(and if it's a Friday, we can survey the locals 'out on the town' as well? Wink )
