Tinners, do you know who writes McLeod's scripts at the moment? And would you be up for a rescue mission for the Laurie Holloway band? The Titchmarsh audience are periodically hosed, clearly a hothouse atmosphere, but the ensemble is clearly deprived of alcohol and humane working conditions.

I don't know who writes them, mf. Do you think I should take over? ... Let's plot an infiltration. Or just a filtration (in the chemical sense: put Herbert Howells through the Jamie Oliver Flavour Strainer and see if he comes out more concentrated the other side)? Laurie Holloway went to school with my Aunty Elsie, if that's any help.

Bugler bugler. Yesterday I suspected that I had a tooth abcess brewing. Don`t you just hate it when you`re proved right? I hurled some drugs at it and went to bed early only to wake up a few hours later with pain.. Got the clove oil out. Zizzed for a bit. Woke up. Ow, that hurts! Now patiently waiting for the Neurofen to kick in while gazing in fascination at my face which resembles a lop-sided hamster. It will have to be a trip to the docs to grab antibiotics later. And I was supposed to be going to a recital at lunchtime. Damn and bugler

Mort, this very thing happened to me late in a sleep-over-at-work shift. Sleepless arrghh in a sealed pod. But hie ye I beseech you to Kings College hospital, Denmark Hill if you need anything dental done-I had ye good fortune to be working round the corner-they are open 24/7 for emergencies and they are brilliant give or take the inevitable wait in situ. Tinners, let's do this thing. McLeod is in need of theraputic intervention, sailing close to Raffertius Normalis. Aunty Elsie's input would revive Holloway's fortunes considerably-is she prepared to handbag Titchmarsh while we spring the band?

Poor you, Mort Hope you manage to get it seen to pdq. Marbleflugel - thanks for recommending King's for emergency dental treatment - it's my local hospital so it's very useful to know.

It is going closer to afternoon. You are going to be in my thoughts. I wish you are back soon with happy grin on your face like this patient and his doctor.

Richard, if I had wanted to see my GP it would have been the usual 2 week wait. Or longer. They operate a Duty Doctor system as well if you 'phone on the day. Those appointments are gone in a blink!
Oh boy, are you for it now, Martle! Just you wait!
