Ian, I hope, having read your last post, that there may now be some glimmer of light, for your friend and those who care about her, at the end of this rather dark tunnel. I wish you well.

Ian, Good wishes from me too - having a fairly grotty time myself at the moment.

My sincere sympathies, Ian; I wish that I could also offer something more constructive than those alone, but I think that I'd be out of my depth if I tried, so I can only offer good wishes for a positive outcome.

Best wishies from me too..
Gathering from the timing of your posts, Ian, may I also suggest that you get some more sleep where and when you can? It helps enormously (if it's available, that is - I can understand that it's sometimes elusive in these circumstances.)

Ian,
I'm glad that things seem to have improved slightly from the dark beginnings you describe in your first post. I hope for you, your friend M and all others involved, that they continue to do so.
Very best wishes.

Hope you're ok, Daniel - (not prying, just wanted you to know your comment was noticed with sympathy)

Thanks, strina, but nice though it was to read, I think you meant to direct your comment to Jonathan.
I hope you're ok too, Jonathan.

Ah yes, silly me, sorry. Not enough sleep lately. Of course I hope you're ok too, Daniel, but Jonathan seems to be having a rough time - best wishes to all.

Sorry that I've been rather pressured with other matters at present to come to the board except for the merest flick through to check that all's OK, so there hasn't been time for me to catch up with the full ramifications of Ian's situation, or realise that Jonathan is still very pressured. I have to zoom off again right now, but would like to thank other members for their understanding and support here, and add my own, even if necessarily in a rather abbreviated form for the moment.

I just want to add my own best wishes to both Ian and Jonathan. I can't really offer anything more to Ian as the situation he describes is outside my own experience, but I am glad that things appear to be looking up a little.

Ian (and Jonathan). I'm very sorry.
Like the others here, Ian, I know there is little that could say given the circs. Just to wish you well.

Thank you all - my situation is somewhat different to Ians but is causing me a lot of mental anguish (part of the problem is that I was made redundant last week, the other half is more complicated).
I hope all will be resolved in due course with the minimum of hassle.

Jonathan, I'm so sorry to hear about the redundancy. It really pulls the rug out from under your feet. Just horrible. I hope something positive pops out of the hat soon for you. I send you my best wishes and positive hopes for your other problems.
May life get better for you soon.
