While stocks last...

The contrabassoon orchestral repertoire as you've never heard it before! (Or perhaps you have.)

Cyril Stapleton + his orchestra playing Elephant Tango was my first disc. A long time ago. A joyous intro to the world of trombones and the contrabassoon.

More recently, playing celesta in Mahler 6, sat between the contrabassoon and harp. Weird.

Contrabassoon concertos, anyone ? Roger Smalley, Donald Erb, Gunther Schuller. . .

Mozart's Sonata for Cello and Bassoon, played on the Double Bass and the Contrabassoon.  Smiley It's been done once to my knowledge, but not in public.
