For the online listener (and who isn't?):

Coming Thursday at nine o'clock in the evening (ten o'clock for listeners outside the UK), you can listen to a feature about Edward Elgar on WDR 3.

I'm a huge fan of German documentaries and features, I think they are better than those on BBC radio. I wonder what they will say about Sir Edward.

More information about this programme can be found on the following website:

http://www.wdr.de/radio/wdr3/sendung.phtml?sendung=WDR%203%20ART&termineid=370489&objektart=Sendung

For online listening: simply click on the Streaming-icon beneath the word Programmvorschau.

There's even more Elgar on WDR 3 this week: coming Saturday morning the last part of Klassik Forum is devoted to recordings by Elgar:

http://www.wdr.de/radio/wdr3/sendung.phtml?sendung=Klassik%20Forum&termineid=370341&objektart=Sendung

Immediately after this programme, the beautiful 15-minute daily history feature Zeitzeichen is devoted to Elgar's birthday:

http://www.wdr.de/radio/wdr3/sendung.phtml?sendung=ZeitZeichen&termineid=370521&objektart=Sendung

So, at around a quarter to ten (a quarter to eleven for European listeners outside the UK) tune in on WDR 3 for some Elgar the German way.
