y'm becomyng quyte fluent yn readyng flugel, flugel. yt ys such a gentle and calmyng language. So much so yn fact that readyng other text now wyth yts ugly 'Y's and 'C's ys quyte a srtrayn. yt feels lyce aggressyve shoutyng compared wyth the soulful mellyfluousness of flugel.
eeec, horryd ysn't yt?

Yndeed, GG, one asymylates the varyation quiccly, and, as you say, yt ys a noble and cynd-hearted lyngo. Perhaps others cyndle a small hope in theyr mynds that the wyreless ceyboard myght yet prove yncompatyble wyth marbs's ynstrument, that we may styll get a cycc out of his translyteratyons.

Good to see you posting on this thread, hh. While waiting in the queue for the second Prom last night, I heard you r name being thrown around among a group of youngish folk just behind me in that queue. One, of the female persuasion, was wearing a top emblazoned with the name of your erstwhile seat of learning.

When I have a brain again I will write something on this thread other than Monty Python references. I've just spent the last few days writing a short article about KS for a local arts journal so I really want a few days off my contemplation of his work (though I have listened to the prom!).

One, of the female persuasion, was wearing a top emblazoned with the name of your erstwhile seat of learning. While standing in the arena during the late-night Prom (sorry Bryn, I completely failed to see you! Where were you standing?) I kept noticing an audience member of the male persuasion standing in front of me wearing a Manchester University Music Society top. Contemplating the acronym that might be used by said society led me to wonder if there is a Brunel University Music Society. Perhaps not.

He was certainly to the rear of the Arena for most of the first Prom, though he was not intending to stay for the second Gruppen performance.

Don't know about Brunel, but there used to be a Birmingham University Music Society, long since retitled as the University Music Society.

I did bump into the ubiquitous MLK, yes, Bryn, as it happens, on my way out of the building after the early-evening Prom (so sounds like he did stay for the second Gruppen). I'd been up in the Gallery myself, having arrived late and missed the first Gruppen.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Copenhagen version of Stimmung, as done by Hillier, and the other one, which I presume is the version done by Singcircle? Or have I got that wrong?
