A thousand thanks to dot com/Evan for posting this link - a 55 minute programme consisting of an interview with Nicolas Slonimsky but which also contains the original recording of Ionisation

Another thousand from me too. A great listen. I do like the way that in a 40 minute discussion all the interviewer needs to do is to offer two and a bit very brief questions and Slonimsky is off, non-stop. I'm not complaining though Smiley. He became a bit of a star on US chat shows in his later years (i.e. his late 90s, early 100s Smiley) didn't he? I can now see why.

Hi Pim,
...does she say something like... " ...hi, welcome Bent, but won't your tongue go back in, Jack..." ??

 Huh

"Welcome Jack, but I don't want that tongue inside me."

Want to hear something preposterous?

Try Falter Bramnk's recomposition of Density 21.5.

It's amazing how few vowels some people can get by with.  Cheesy

Extraordinary: these people can make Varèse sound boring. Undecided

I don't object to sampling, but it should always be entertaining. Take People Like Us for instance:

Try Swing Largo. It's lovely! Smiley
