OK, I have to say these are subtleties beyond my command of the language. So how would you say "is that book available yet?" Would that have to be something like "is dat boek nog uitgekomen"?
In that case we would use the word "al".
"Is dat boek al verkrijgbaar?"There's nothing wrong with
"Is dat boek nog uitgekomen?". If the publication of the book was announced in the past and later I would ask the publisher (or a bookseller) if it really had been published, I could ask him
"Is dat boek nog uitgekomen?"
