Well, all credit to Andy for the settings advice, though I think we've been down this road before and now await complaints from folks who say their avatar has shrunk, lost resolution or gone thin Oh Gawd! I do hope not. I didn't mean to cause any trouble. Having had a quick survey this morning, everyone else's look OK to me and, on my screen anyway, Richard's Fozzy Bear has lost his blue-arrow-thingies too and looks very spruce as a result.

Something very, very beautiful has happened. Little Wolf now appears just the right size and comfortable with his body (as women, but not men, say?). Thank you Andy and thank you, whoever it may be, who is working away behind the scenes doing this. It really is very kind. I had thought for an awful moment that making Mr Wolf the right size had had the unfortunate side effect of making Tommo's violin go all tubby. But that seems to have been a temporary phenomenon and it is now back again looking fit as a fiddle. Oh, you got that too? I thought I'd just eaten too much last night..... Tommo

No blue arrows here either (though he looks to me like a face painted on a rather bulging belly....)
I always thought it was the rear view of a cat, and the eyes were little curlicues in the fur. Then i saw Skazka Skazek and know better. Still, it looks like the rear end of a cat.

Being a Mod who is dedicatated to the general happiness and well-being of of Board Members, I have today carried out painstaking research into the matter of Wolfie`s visage and the apparent resemblance to the derriere of a feline. After having received signed consent forms from the resident moggies at Mort Manor, I am please to confirm there is absolutely no resemblance between a Wolfie face and the posterior of a cat. Thank you gentlemen. Dry your tears George, it`s all over now

I just call them as I see them and can't see why anyone would be offended. Even the protagonist Wolfie should be delighted at this unpremeditated ambiguity of his hindquarters headquarters.

Gosh Chafers, I don`t think anyone took offence. Merely the usual r3ok high spirits Anyway, avatars are now restored to peeps satisfaction and we probably won`t hear a word from this thread until there is an overweight violin, chalmeau or harpsichord incident. God forbid! All is quiet.

No offence here either, Chafe. And I believe it takes rather a lot to offend George.

I didn't really think anyone took offence. But the head/hind quarters joke was looming in the room so I thought it'd be a boon to hoon about it.
