One for the Cardew fans. Has anyone else noted the similarity between the 'tune' of Paragraph 2 of "The Great Learning" and one to which the words of the hymn "At the name of Jesus" are sung?
I don't know that hymn, but it can't be as embarrassing as the similarity between "Smash the Social Contract" and the Goodies' "Funky Gibbon".

"Smash the Social Contract" and the Goodies' "Funky Gibbon" I have no idea what either of those is, but I'll assume the second is Jade and Jack's pet ape, shall I?

Sure I've mentioned this one before, but another very unfortunate Cardew resemblance - 'Long Live Chairman Mao' sounds like 'Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head' (also, a friend pointed out how easy it is to make the theme from the Thälmann Variations metamorphosise into 'Auld Lang Syne')

I can't help but think what a rich field this is for scholars of P.D.Q. Bach to explore.

There are a few notes from the signature tune to The Archers in the Playful Pizzicato from Britten's Simple Symphony.
