Britten - Grasshopper (piece for oboe and piano)

So Mackenzie is the odd one out with cricket. But I haven't got the Aho.

Well done, Tony! Cricket is the odd one out. Biroc was correct about the Aho.   Cheesy

Aho - Symphony No.7 'Insect Symphony': IV. The Grasshoppers
Britten - The Grasshopper (Insect Piece No.1)
Sir Alexander Mackenzie – The Cricket on the Hearth
Nielsen - Græshoppen (Grasshopper)

As it's a Bank Holiday, here's a Picture Quiz Musical Connections Special (which you'll probably get in under five minutes, but it was fun putting it together anyway!)

From the pictures, name the composer and the works represented! Have fun!  Cheesy

I went down a route of thinking that the first 4 were "Nefertiti" (Knee-Fart-Tee-Tea).  But that stopped there.

Clue/ explanation:

+

= Donkey + hoe + tee = Don Quixote   (I know, I know...it's Don Quick-sot, but I couldn't find a skateboarding drunk!)

Any takers for the others? You'll need to rearrange the photos.

The Mirror and Daffodil must surely be something to do with Narcissus?

Can anyone solve the final Strauss piece? It'll help if you can work out which pictures were used for Till.  Wink
