Hmmm, we might need IGI on the case!

Strauss II has a high Op no (>400), he did live to 1899. The work was recorded for the Marco Polo label.

The Cage item was 'written' in 1977, I don't know if it's been recorded or performed since.

That's it IGI.

Well done Parsifal and IGI, there were another two I was going to add, Rorem and Jeffes, (I dont know them, I just googled for more telephone music) but you got there without them.

Are we on the sea? Or am I all at sea?!

Scott MacMillan – Celtic Mass for the Sea
Bax – On the Sea Shore
Bridge – The Sea
Coates - Three Men Suite Man From the Sea
Borodin – The Sea (song)

Is it James MacMillan we're searching for?

Nice set there IGI but not what I've gathered together. No sea to be seen or heard. Not a place, more like a time.

Oh and yes it's James McMillan

Times of the day?

James MacMillan – Three Dawn Rituals
Bax – Morning Song (Maytime in Sussex)
Bridge – Morning Song
Coates - Idyll: Summer Afternoon
Borodin – Why So Early, O Sunset?

Or are we looking at Springtime?

James MacMillan – Sowetan Spring
Bax – Morning Song (Maytime in Sussex)
Bridge – Enter Spring
Coates - The Three Elizabeths Ste: Spring Time In Angus (Elizabeth Of Glamis)
Borodin – tba

James MacMillan – Three Dawn Rituals
Borodin – Why So Early, O Sunset?

Well done IGI, those two are correct, though I'd seen the Borodin as Why are thou so early Dawn?.

Maybe t-p or Reiner can say which is the best translation. Surely a choice of Sunset or Dawn one of them is wrong  Cheesy

So, that gets the connection, but Dawn Upshaw recordings are not allowed  Smiley
