Here’s a tricky one (at least, I think it could prove to be! )

Fauré
Verdi
Wagner
Sousa

Ten extra composers sitting on the subs’ bench if required.  Wink

Coo! I'm impressed.  Cool

Bit of digging needed for the Verdi, though.

 Smiley

OTHELLO

A kiss ... another kiss,
(rising and looking at the sky)
The burning Pleiades already sink into the sea.

DESDEMONA

Late is the night.

OTHELLO

Come ... Venus is shining.

DESDEMONA

Othello!

(Embracing, they go slowly toward the castle.)

Brilliant! So no need for any of my substitutes.  Cheesy

Puzzle inspired by my class doing work on the planets today and being intrigued by Venus, where the sun rises in the West and sets in the East. It is also where a 'year' is shorter than a 'day'! Venus spins very slowly in comparison to us - one complete rotation or 'day' is the same as 243 days on Earth. However, it orbits the Sun in less time than this, making a Venus year 224 'Earth days'. Infinitely more fascinating than what they'll be tested on in their SATs next week, I expect.  Sad

Oh my word! A hundredth page of Connections..calls for more champagne!

Thanks IGI, that was a tough one. And well done with the Dawn connection.

With Venus' atmosphere would we ever SEE a dawn there?

I doubt it, but I'd be prepared to volunteer one or two members of my class on a trip to find out!  Shocked

Dear Parents,

We're very excited to tell you about our next school trip, which will be to the Planet Venus. Children will need to bring a packed lunch, a sun hat and some money for the shop....

Morning guys!

Can I mention the Venus allusion in Melitone's sermon?  A much too too belated entry, I know  Embarrassed

Thanks, IGI, for accepting my Forza Venus. I'm struggling with Holst and Bax (not being familiar with the latter at all, and knowing the former only from At the Boar's Head: I admit that I don't even know his Planets  Embarrassed). It's cheating, but I'll await clues from other members  Wink
