Yes, the correct lilies. Gurney is the odd one out...the 'Lent Lily' is a nickname for a daffodil, as in A.E. Housman's poem from 'A Shropshire Lad'.

Rachmaninov: The Water-lily
Bartok: White Lily
MacDowell: Woodland Sketches for piano, Op.51: No.6, To a Water-lily
Gurney: The Lent Lily
Grieg: With a water-lily

Here's an antidote to your last quartet (ie really easy!):

Vaughan Williams
Shostakovich
Bartok
Rimsky-Korsakov

Hello, John! I replaced Puccini with Shostakovich to make it easier, since nobody had answered at the time. So...

Puccini
Shostakovich
Bartok
Rimsky-Korsakov
Vaughan Williams

No, not gold, I'm afraid. Look for another Puccini.

LA FANCIULLA is close to the required Puccini before it (ie the one we're looking for) was turned into an opera.

MADAMA BUTTERFLY is correct. Now, the rest should be easy to dig out.

The Shosta, Bartok and Puccini aren't dissimilar, R-K and VW share a significant feature, though all five belong to one category.
