Dan, it's just about supper time, so this came to mind:  Cheesy

Morales - Mass for the Feast of St. Isidore of Seville
Handel – Alexander’s Feast
Finzi - Welcome Sweet and Sacred feast
Walton – Belshazzar’s Feast

I'm going to have to abandon Ian's brain squeezer - it kept ne up until 2am.

Back after supper.

Oh <steam> an easy one and I missed it!  Haven't joined in the last few days as they have been too convoluted for me.

Try this one then, Anna. We've missed you in this game!  Wink

Four composers to begin with, folks, but I’ll add more if needed!

Elgar
Walton
Rameau
Schubert

OK, folks, let's think logically about Ian's killer puzzle.

Scelsi - I can find the following titles in French (thanks to Wikipedia):

Chemin du coeur
L'amour et le crane
Il est grand temps
Meme si je voyais
Nuits
L'ame ailee
L'ame ouverte
Arc-en-ciel
Voyages
Et maintenant c'est a vous de jouer

...altho' he did say "reference in French" rather than "title"...

Lehar - Rose de Noel is, I see, an adaptation of pre-existing Lehar rather than echt-Lehar; none of the numbers seem to have a link with any of the Scelsi (apart from two, entitled Rendez-vous d'amour and Amour et giberne)

Hmmm, logic doesn't seem to be getting me very far...

I don't fancy wading through Bach and Mozart and I can't see any link with either Scelsi or Lehar with King Crimson!

Give us a clue! (please) Huh

Now, now, Ollie, you are VERY clever! Have you worked it all out, then?

Actually no. But your fulsome praise does somehow remind me that Scelsi writes that his Okanagon can be considered as the 'heartbeat of the Earth'.

My lips are sealed..... Wink

(not quite right with the precise King Crimson reference, but very near)

The only Lehar I can think of linked to hearts is 'Dein ist mein ganzes Herz' from The Land of Smiles. Does this mean that Rose de Noël is wrong?   Undecided
