Bernstein
Michael Gordon
Arthur Butterworth

I'll be off-board till tomorrow now, so you can scrap amongst yoursleves.

Is it something connected to towns/cities?

Rimsky-Korsakov - The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh
Bernstein - On the Town (New York)
Grianger - Lord Melbourne from Lincolnshire Posy
Michael Gordon - Gotham
Takemitsu - A Boy Named Hiroshima
Butterworth - Mill Town

Rimsky Korsavov - Czardas and the Rain of Shooting Stars
Takemitsu - Rain Coming
Gordon - Acid Rain
Butteworth - Praying for Rain
Grainger - Walking in the Rain
Berstein - The Rain Must Fall

Oh, you meant Elmer not Leonard Bernstein, you little monkey!!   Kiss Kiss

And if this is not the answer, well, I demand to know why not!!!

Anty, Anty. It's not the answer 'cos I say so!  Cheesy But it's a damn good one and deserves, er, some points.

Two more composers, then. And it is Leonard, not Elmer.

Rimsky Korsakov
Takemitsu
Grainger
Bernstein
Michael Gordon
Arthur Butterworth
Copland
Ives

Arthur Butterworth - The Quiet Tarn
Copland - Quiet City
Ives - When stars are in the quiet skies

Very good, Don. I'll put you out of your Grainger misery:

It's The Quiet Brook. Nothing about air cleaners.  Tongue

I also had Giles Swayne - No Quiet Place, which would have contradicted the Bernstein nicely.  Cheesy

Very good work, pw. I was nowhere near to solving that one.

Try these four composers:

Vaughan Williams
Rachmaninov
Richard Strauss
Bridge
