Eruanto, if you are on the Lleyn, (as opposed to on the lean-to) and you are lying under the sloe black coal black sky with the ghost of Lloyd George beside you.  Well, yes, perhaps you do need a drink  Cheesy

Query:  Who goes on a walking holiday in Wales with a laptop, knowing the dangers from sheep and their hunger for the internet?

Apart from the cows, the lack of alcohol, getting lost and the rain, very much indeed.

In a feeble attempt to stay on topic;

Llongyfarchiadau Eruanto!!  You survived the cattle, the sheep left you alone, you have discovered Wales is the the Land of Song, not Cider, and you have learned to love the rain.  I do declare you are an Honorary Welshman!  (Don't worry, you won't have to learn the Mabinogian off by heart)

Yesterday I discovered a shop in Haringey (North London) which sells a variety of Russian and East European beers. Let alone Armenian brandy etc. A Lithuanian wheat beer and a Russian beer with an unreadable title were bought, sampled and enjoyed. Are there any experts here with recommendations?

On the East side of Green Lanes, just below the junction with Kimberley Gardens.

The Armenian brandy cost £17.

Thanks for that, auto. I wondered if Green Lanes might come into it.

Been sampling the local brewery's fayre, while I am down in Cornwall. So far Doombar's is my fsvourite. Bought a box of them to take back with me!! There was something I had last night, which was brewed specially for this pub, where me and Mrs BBM and friend met up with jantheFan and her partner. Great evening was had by all. Can remember the name of the ale we supped, but made by Sharpe's. Great beer.
