Ruby, that certainly sounds like a hypo. I have a tube of glucose tablets in my bag for when that happens. A glucose drink is even better, gets straight into the system and stops you killing people! Wink
Ah - glucose tablets. Good idea.  Smiley

(Psst - are we coming across like a pair of psychos?)

Ah. That's an idea. My colleagues have got the idea and attempt to ply me with biscuits. We have a slight problem in that my institution doesn't actually have a lunch hour.

Hm, that's not going to help is it?  Is it the sort of job where you can graze throughout the day or is that not really a viable option?  The trouble with biscuits is that you might crash again soon after.  I find carbs work best but if I can't get to anything substantial the polos work OK short term (although glucose tablets would probably be better) and then try to get to carbs before you crash again.  That's just my thought anyway...

Just wanted to resurrect this thread because, on my way back from the shops tonight, I saw not one, not two, not three, but FOUR little mice (or they could have been rats - I wasn't close enough) scrabbling around outside my flat. Fortunately they can't get over the 'moat' between the back yard and my flat, but the noises I've been hearing from the skirting clearly indicate that they're in the walls.

I've not seen a cat that can get into the walls...

The mice will know it's there.  In real life, cats are brighter than Tom, and mice are less resourceful than Jerry.
